09:46 am - mmmmmmmmm From hazelstitch: a letter-meme
The rules: if you'd like to play too, ask for a letter in a comment and I'll give you one. Write ten words beginning with that letter in your journal, including an explanation of what the word means to you and why, and then pass out letters to others...
milk - something I miss sorely since I moved to the country with virtually no lactose free dairy products
marmalade - is best when home made. I am planning on testing my skills this summer and make some marmalades from the cherries, apples, plums and blackberries in our garden. I'm already collecting little jars for them.
misspellings - abound in my writing. I type fast but not well and could never work as an editor if I didn't have spell check.
mom (or muori) - need I say more? She's my hero.
mari - my sister. My best friend.
marriage - cannot wait till September. A perfect wedding is one, where in the end bride and groom are married ;-)
msn - I would not survive without. A perfect way to spend a day without working, a great way to keep in touch with my family.
motors - I hate translating about them, especially for a specific, big German company... Technical translation is driving me mad at the moment but also pays the bills.
murder mysteries - my favorite kind of books to read and buy at second hand book stores and clearances. The book shelves are packed and there are boxes full of books in my office.
market - we have a great farmer's market in Lüneburg and I've gotten into the habit of buying my fruits and vegetables there. They might cost the same as in the supermarket, but it's all produced in the area and for a big part organic.
(hmmmm... I might edit this later, but now it's time to edit again) Current Mood: disappointed

05:54 pm - so classic
Carole Lombard You scored 9% grit, 23% wit, 38% flair, and 35% class! |
| You're a little bit of a fruitcake, but you always act out in style. You have a good sense of humor, are game for almost anything, but you like to have nice things about you and are attracted to the high life. You're stylish and modern, but you've got a few rough edges that keep you from attaining true sophistication. Your leading men include William Powell, Fredric March, and Clark Gable. Watch out for small planes.
Find out what kind of classic leading man you'd make by taking the Classic Leading Man Test.
